June is upon us. It is the last month of Quarter 2! Let us pause to reflect and acknowledge your progress. Are you satisfied with what you did? How are you feeling about what you did not do? The answers to both are important.

I challenge you to get out of your feelings and ask WHAT DID I LEARN?

Our feeling-lead thinking impedes on our success and creates unnecessary hiccups in the process. It also causes us to forfeit the wisdom we need for the future. I do not want that to be true for you, so I am sharing my May Light Bulb moments. These are the things that I learned that will influence how I live out the rest of my life.

Thoughts produce action. Thinking is one of the amazing abilities that we have. Thinking is how we start the process of becoming someone amazing. We have the power to use our thoughts to create a life that we desire to live. The thoughts that we accept as truth are planted, watered through repetition, and harvested through action. In Philippians 4:8, Paul gives a specific list of the things we should think about. Meditating on these things will produce a harvest of good fruit in our lives.

Goals can be exceeded. I set monthly goals regularly. I do the work necessary to achieve them. When I do, I celebrate my success and move on to the next goal. My monthly reading goal is six books. I achieved this goal around the 15th of the month. I kept reading and exceeded my goal by four books. I read 10 books. I learned that I could do more than I expect of myself. I busted through my own ceiling and set a higher bar. Find ways to intentionally exceed your goals.

Connections matter.  Relationships are my superpower. I am connected to some amazing people. I am so happy and grateful that I get to do life with them. Everyone reminds me how God uniquely fashioned them to fit perfectly in my life.  They collectively make me feel valued, supported, and loved. Be thankful for the people in your life. They are a part of God’s plan and purpose for your life.

I hope you can glean some insight from this summary of my May Light Bulb Moments. May they bring you encouragement, insight, truth, and hope.
